Review on 🎧 Rode Mini-Jack Female to XLR Male Adapter: Enhance Audio Quality with VideoMic (VXLR)" by Pleaze Evans

Looks great and works great with my Audio-Technica ATR6650 Shotgun Microphone (3.5mm plug) and Panasonic HC-X1000 camcorder (XLR plug). This Rode adapter also looks good. With an AT mic attached, it basically looks like I have a device with an XLR connector attached. The Audio-Technica mic I have delivers the same tone on the tip and ring jacks and I understand the Rode adapter expects the connection. If your microphone only has tip-to-sleeve connectors (not tip-to-ring-to-sleeve), the Rode adapter will not work. I haven't tried using the tip to ring connector with the Rode adapter but I can say my tip to ring sleeve connector works great. The only reason I turned it down is that I really wanted an adapter with a balun built in. . This is the right way to make that connection. Despite the missing transformer, the Rode adapter works perfectly and is cheap.
