If you get a brushed Arrma RC vehicle that comes with a nimh battery, this charger is a must-have. It's great for charging the nimh in a reasonable amount of time: about an hour vs. over six hours with the charger that comes with the truck, and it uses the same connector. It leaves the door open for lipo if you are interested to try.As for the bad. I don't see how you can call a charger "smart" when it doesn't even have a storage charge mode. That should be a bare-minimum feature for a charger that is made for lipo. So I don't recommend this charger if you plan to use lipo batteries.Also, obviously the price point is low, but they should toss in a couple of accessories to make it a complete package. Specifically, if you get a new smart battery, you may need to update the firmware, which you need a $12 cable for. And if you get into 3S stuff from this brand you'll likely need the IC3 to IC5 adaptor, which is another $12. These ought to be included, or priced more reasonably.
