A great option for cars built after cassette decks went out of style but before additional audio inputs became the norm. I was able to install this fairly easily on my 2004 RX-8 (firmware version 9.55) in about 45 minutes. It literally just plugs in and works, no fuss, no fuss. I can also report that all the audio buttons on the steering wheel and console still work, and the fast forward and rewind buttons even work as forward and back buttons in my podcast app. Telephoning with the microphone switched on also works perfectly. All in all I couldn't be happier.
