The arm doesn't lock, it just rotates. No brush head but a gray part that expands.
extension will not engage. The brush head snaps into place, but the gray lever that connects to the blue handle doesn't stay in place. It lengthens, then shortens again, rotating when the sleeve is parallel to the handle. Used once when it snows again in NY I might just have to tape or tape it because that defeats the purpose.
