We used these in our previous home and are now using them in our new home. Our windows are 96 inches high so the cords on our blinds are quite long. We keep the cords off the floor sooner and this also saves us from fitting the plastic cords supplied by the blind manufacturer. It's very easy. You separate the two halves and insert the cord into the spindle on the inside of the larger half, then put the two halves back together making sure the cord goes through the holes on either side. You then hold the smaller half and twist the larger half to wind the cord evenly on both sides of the spool. Twist in the other direction and the cable will once again unwind on both sides of the spindle. And for those with arthritis or other hand conditions, the spindles are larger, making it easier to grip the line.
