This charger had trouble maintaining a constant charge with the case on my phone! It's constantly switching from charge to charge every few seconds, which is very annoying when driving at night when your display lights up every few seconds. I tried it with Apple's original MagSafe leather case and also tried 2 of ESR's own cases: the ESR Sidekick Hybrid Case with HaloLock Magnetic Wireless Charging and the ESR Cloud Soft Case with MagSafe. May I add that all 3 cases work fine on my wireless charger that I use at home, so they are not cases. If you can't get your own product to work together, you need to do something. The magnet held up well with or without cases and only charged my phone without the case, but I keep the case on my phone for protection and don't want to take it off and put it back on every time I get in and out of the vehicle.
