I purchased two of these cables, one 10ft and one 6ft, in late March 2017 primarily as cables to charge my phone. Both cables were used about 6-8 times a day. Within 4 months, the micro USB ends of both cables wear out, especially small raised "bulbs", causing the cable to literally fall out of the phone. Previously, almost 3 years, I used the official Motorola charging cable, which worked fine (but wore out very differently). In general, these cables aren't bad (especially the shielding!), but they all wear out at the same time in the end. The Micro-USB wasn't really designed to be plugged in and unplugged as regularly (not iXCC's fault) and the only way to fix this is to increase the height of the bump a bit (which also has its disadvantages) or to use better metal (which strengthens it somewhat). I give these cables 3/5 stars mainly because they are good cables, but the micro USB end wears out too quickly. I was hoping for at least a year.
