I've always had boring and boring apothecary clippers 1.99. So I did a little searching and tried them out. Mainly for 3 reasons 1. Sharpen knives 2. Prize3. Stainless steel. I've never used sharpened wire cutters, oh my! I had to show my wife. (I raised an eyebrow in surprise) She thought I bought it for her. Well no. I may have to order another set. But they cut fingernails and toenails well. I have STRONG toenails, they just straighten out with no problem. I love the little carry case, it fits perfectly in my shaving kit. If you are looking and don't want to go up the price scale too much with nail clippers then I highly recommend them. This means you will need to use a file to round off some of the cut edges on your nails. Plus, your nails will fly! I've carved mine on the forecastle now. Carving them in the bedroom will definitely upset your spouse. :) All in all a great product. Exactly what I was looking for.
