Poor installation instructions

Bought these for my husband for Christmas for his new GMC Z71. Its only complaint was that the instructions didn't specify where the GMC engrave bar should be placed in the front door opening. He put it on the track closest to the truck. You look great. Prepare the surface according to the instructions. I've only had it for a couple of weeks but don't see any adhesion issues.
