I haven't started sewing yet, but I noticed that there is no mixed thread. It's not even mentioned in the instructions or pattern so the set should have changed without updating this post. This doesn't really bother me as I don't like the mixed thread, but I'm giving it three stars for misrepresenting it - had it not been in the description that there would be a mixed thread I probably would have given it four stars. The image on the actual packaging looks a darker blue than the teal in the online image, but there are more teal threads than blue, so I think it will end up looking more like the online image. double-sided printed sheet of paper (half on one side and half on the other side) and instructions are single-sided printed sheets. I think they should have put half of the pattern on the back of the instructions and then had the other half as a separate sheet of paper for me to tape together so I could see the whole pattern at a glance. The instructions have a color key for that particular pattern, which doesn't mean it wasn't printed specifically for that pattern. So now I have to decide if I should look for a copier that will copy 11x17 paper to create my single sided template or if I should just live with having to turn the paper over. Otherwise I expect you will really enjoy it. There is a wide range of fun colors to choose from. I like that it's a dragon. I look forward to starting work on it. Edit: one more thing. The kit contains all the threads from the list of thread colors and thread numbers in the instructions, but then in the key and on the pattern there is a kind of inverted line that should be "blue" if there is no thread with any name " blue", not to mention "dark blue". I'm guessing it's either dark teal (similar in name but how blue would I call it light) or very dark teal (which looks like it might pass as dark blue), right? The picture on the packaging is not clear enough to visually tell what color the backstitch should be. When I'm done I'll try to remind myself to update it with the turquoise I left off.
