One of my Goldens injured his hind legs while playing on hot pavement just before leaving for a lakeside vacation. She could hardly walk. I bought her several different "hiking shoes" to wear on the lake, swim, and play in the sand. But when we got back to the apartment I put them on her and she wore them all night. They are great because unlike other boots they are breathable and comfortable. Most others say they shouldn't be worn for very long periods of time. They seemed to be suitable for longer periods of time as you can even see small holes in the red material. Air can circulate in these booties. She quickly got used to wearing them. I would recommend having an extra set in case one gets wet. They also seem very strong. Would I buy again (and I did). Just make sure you get the right size. The first set I had was very large and too big for my £95 golden. But she wore them anyway. They just pulled a little and there was too much material in the fingers. The next set I bought was the large one and they fit perfectly! Love it!
