Review on 🔛 GarageBOSS GB150 12.5 Quart Oil Drain Pan with Funnel: Efficient Oil Collection Solution by Michael Weaver

Good concept but poor production. I bought it. There are two plugs that screw on. One at the top next to the yellow funnel and one at the end of the pen line. The top is perfect. The end for me was terrible. This is the one that contains the oil. The lid was not screwed on because the thread was broken. It looks like it was either made in two pieces and soldered together, or injected into a two-piece mold. The seam runs through the end grommet. I had excess plastic which narrowed the hole but didn't complete the spout. The lid would not unscrew, but it was delivered to me anyway. I tried to clean the nose with a knife. But the end wasn't perpendicular to the spout, so the lid didn't close properly. I could use a grinder to make it square, but while holding it I noticed that the thickness of the plastic was very different. The top corners, near the ceilings, were solid, but the bottom two were crushed under my grip. If there was oil in it the hole would take a short time to wear out as it is at the bottom when you lean it against a wall or carry it like a briefcase. I called the company three times. They do a lot of things and there is no mention of the owner of the garage in the automated menu. I spoke to the operator three times on three different days. The first two times, at 4:00pm ET, I was told the support staff was gone for the day, but I was able to leave a voice message. Of course. But I let him call for four minutes and the voicemail didn't answer. The third time, after complaining about my first two experiences, the operator takes me to a guy's voicemail. It's been over a week and still no call back. I didn't buy this because I needed an oil catcher, but because Adam Carolla promoted it so much on his show that I thought I would endorse the show's sponsor. If you get one done right you should have a much better experience than I did.
