I recommend, but no bright light.
This is a very attractive lamp. I placed it in the guest room and bedroom. I would definitely use it again. However, it is not bright enough for a bedroom without other lighting. I like super bright lights that can be dimmed. In the guest room, where there is no other lighting, it is too dark. Looks great in the bedroom with integrated lighting. Would recommend but be aware it's not as bright as you'd like.
