I like the unusual design, I would buy more despite the shortcomings. Actually I will order a round shape. The size seems perfect to me (about 3.75 inches to the top of the liquid line; 7 inches to the top of the cork; 3.5 inches in diameter at the base). I use it for vinegar and it dispenses just the right amount. d expect - what you would call a "splash" if you're fast. It flows very quickly so if you're not careful it can spill too much thin/low viscosity liquid (like vinegar). To fill it I was afraid I would break it as it was stuck. In fact it seems so fragile that I put on gloves in case it breaks in my hands, for about 20 minutes I tried to rip it off, even tried putting hot water on the neck hoping it would expand the glass but to no avail. I kept trying and was able to get it out after a day or two by soaking in the sink. I think you can take this as a guarantee that the glass stopper will absolutely not fall out if you don't want it (when pouring), although at first it looks like it will fall out easily because it's only held there by friction.
