Review on 5 Micron Brass Element NPT Air Filter Regulator Lubricator Combo With Auto-Drain Water/Oil Trap Separator - Gauge (0-150 Psi), Poly Bowl, And Metal Bracket By NANPU by Kevin Elliott

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Nice little unit if it wouldnt leak air out of a supposed to the be sealed gauge

Overall it is a nice little nit for a small compressor. Installing it, i had to cut some piping from my existing air line to reroute it and when i was done i had to find out i had a leak. Redid it and that fixed the leak. Leaving the compressor hooked up at all times i never had an issue before that it would slowly leak and make the compressor fo on once it dropped to a curtain pressure. Once i had the new oil unit installed and my leaks in the lines fixed the compressor would still come on every other day and for the life of me i couldn't find the leak. Then i decided to check the actual oiler unit and i found air bubbles behind the pressure gauge thinking i might not have it sealed enough. Took it off and retaped it and it was still leaking. I decided to take the housing off reinstall the gauge without it and sure enough it leaked out of the back where it is supposed to be sealed shut ( see picture ). Ended up having to get a new gauge to fix the issue

Pros
  • The brass construction provides excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, and other forms of degradation, ensuring a long service life
Cons
  • Auto-drain may require frequent adjustment or replacement
