Works well with various anchors

We have two of these stair anchors and have been using them for 4 months. We have a preschooler and a toddler but they are not very rough with the gates. The gate at the top of the stairs is magnificent. Problems with the underside of the stair gate, perhaps because the gate is being pushed further down (but still within reach)? Cons: - The screws and dowels that come with the bearing loop aren't enough for drywall. We didn't have bolts where we needed them so we used the hardware that came with it and it just came loose quickly when opening and closing. Had to be replaced with reinforced drywall anchors and long screws for the top hinge of each gate. - The plastic fitting on the top bar next to the beam hinge has come loose and now the gate is sagging and out of alignment (see photo) - I have to lift and push to close instead of just pushing to close. It was before and we put it back in, but now it's free again. I'm waiting for a response from the manufacturer. -Very difficult to install at the top and bottom of the stairs.Pros: -I taught my responsible preschooler how to use the gate so she can use the stairs freely and the "push to close". "Function is fantastic for them (and us) to make sure the gate always closes to protect the baby. - The baby can't open it - It's not that difficult for an adult to open it with one hand , once you've practiced it - The gate has no sill to climb over and only swings open in one direction (you choose the direction during installation) - both properties are important for stairs
