This is the third set I've made so far and it was definitely my favorite. It's a pretty quick build - it only took me about a week to put together. It has fewer components than many other kits, making it perfect for the beginner. And the final product is absolutely amazing! There are a few things to consider when purchasing this set. Firstly, it comes from China and the instructions, although in English, sometimes leave something to be desired. I found them manageable though - they contained a lot of images which I felt were very clear explanations of how certain things were supposed to fit together. This kit comes with a music box and a light (batteries are not included so get those). I didn't have much trouble with the lighting, it was pretty easy. But when I made my first lighting for such a kit, it was very difficult for me because I had never connected anything before. I'd recommend watching a few YouTube videos if you're frustrated - it may take a few tries to get it right, but it's worth it! Finally, my kit was missing a few small items - mostly a few beads meant for tulips - and a lot of extra materials, which meant that if you messed something up it wouldn't succeed. Enough material for a new edition. However, the materials themselves are easily found at local hardware stores. So if you find you're making a mistake, I would go out and get additional accessories to go with it. They may also come in handy for future sets. Bottom line, this is a great set to start with. If you are frustrated or stuck, there are many YouTube videos that can be very helpful. You can do that!
