Review on 📶 High-performance Alfa AWUS036NHA Wireless USB Adaptor with Long Range and Atheros Chipset - Windows Compatible by Scott Gamache

Driver CD in box dated December 2016. Be sure to Label the outside of your drives with any version number. There is no driver for NHA. I was stumped for about a day with no response after trying 3 different things and I requested a refund. The Linux ifconfig command didn't show the device at all. Then I decided to try lsusb (usb list). Even before I did that, I saw a brief error message on boot that said the Atheros driver was missing. Of course, lsusb brought back Atheros and the modules. This was a surprise as all my previous Alfa devices were Realtek. I searched for Synaptic, downloaded the Atheros driver suite and rebooted. As usual, the network manager reported all WLAN systems in the neighborhood. But it didn't connect to my normal one. Throbber just flailed and didn't complete the handshake. I've tried a few other trusted ones that aren't WEP encrypted but will open the home page and ask for an ID and password or a credit card. The same thing. Throbber showed that the handshake could not be completed. I changed my Linux repository and got the latest Atheros driver. The same thing. I downloaded the source code for a driver that has not yet been released. I haven't put it together yet. The Revain page says Linux and the box says LINUX, but Alfa hasn't even tested it in alpha. I am keeping this article and when a suitable driver is released I will come back here and revise the review.
