I bought this for my chickens when I realized they won't eat what I can buy at the local feed store. They love that oyster shell and since I started using it their eggs have had a nice strong shell. If your birds don't eat crushed oyster shells (which look like gravel), I recommend you try this. It looks like tiny flakes, much smaller than what I suggested. Birds happily eat it as needed and all problems with calcium deficiency are gone.
