🐴 Cashel Quiet Ride Horse Fly Mask with Ears for Arabian/Small Horse: Ultimate Protection from Pesky Flies Review

My horse gets weak when a bug flies around his face while riding (flying doesn't bother him, but everything else does). He will keep turning his head. I think it healed him; I'll know more when I get to a season with more mistakes. The flies don't bother him, but the lack of eyes drives him crazy. His ears are too long, but that's okay. He is a well behaved 14.1 cow pony if that helps.

I bought this for my pasture mare because she hates fly masks and goes crazy over everything when she wears them. They have a thinner mesh and better visibility and she has no problem wearing them. Durability, my expectations weren't that high as they aren't meant for pasture but I bought 2 for my two horses and both have lasted all season. I also like seeing her eyes and the slit for her bangs is good, I don't have to worry about the hair tucked in her eyes.

I used to use Quiet Rides on trail rides (still do) but my dressage mare is very fussy and allergic to insects. I have to wear a fly mask all day so I change the mask so it doesn't chafe. They seem to like Quiet Rides best and it doesn't leave scars. So I doubled them up and they still hold up great shape and stay soft and supple. I like ears to keep mosquitoes and gnats out. It would be better if they had NO nicks in their bangs because I think that's how mosquitoes get in their bangs.

I love these NC mosquito masks! I don't use it when riding, but I like it when I'm not on my horse in the pasture. Mosquitoes are much worse than flies here and this mask is much lighter than regular cough masks. Doesn't rub or irritate my horse's skin. I'm sure it's a lot easier for him to see the night.
