The mare I am riding now loves it, she no longer shakes or shakes her head and doesn't seem as restless and rushing her Track. It's spring in Vermont, and the bugs are plentiful, and although the fly spray on the horses' fur keeps them from landing and biting, it doesn't stop them from hanging in a cloud around their heads, and it does her worries. It seems that when she wears this, she knows that even though they surround her head, they can't reach them, which is very reassuring. She seems to be able to see very well. I have just such a material in a bug net that I wear over my hat when gardening and through which I can see perfectly. I also worry a lot less about deer flies, gnats and gnats when wearing a fly mask so I totally understand why this is so reassuring for the horse. To increase its effectiveness, I sprayed it lightly with Tri-Tech 13 and let it dry before applying. I highly recommend this product.
