On the one hand, this Canon OEM ink is much better than its non-OEM competition. I've had more than my fair share of third-party cartridges that didn't meet my standards (ink leaking from their canisters, poor quality photo printing, odd colors, etc.). This is generally true of all OEM inks - they typically have a higher level of quality control than third-party inks. On the other hand, such OEM inks are very expensive. I'm actually considering just buying another printer, but of course the starter ink cartridges that come with these printers are smaller (less ink) than refills. And the price of non-OEM inks is much lower for most (if not all) other printers. It's a sick game that printer manufacturers are playing - beating us with cheap printers instead of kicking us out for ink refills. So a meager three stars for that. The manufacturers pretty much got us on it.
