I had a set of three relays which I connected to the PI one at a time, but the relay's signal wires can be disconnected or unsoldered and some equipment I never would have stayed must. I ended up having to write scripts that would turn off the relay, then physically check it to make sure it was off, then turn on an alarm if it sucked, etc. That completely changed the game for me haha. The pins fit right into the Pi's pins, so I don't have to worry about losing connections, and since the relays use the 5V from the Pi for their own power supply, I don't have to use 5V wires or 5V -AC/DC converters operate for power. all my devices. I like it!
