At the time of writing this review, these shoes cost about $25, making them a good water boot for the person who uses them little. They work well on flat surfaces and can handle some mud, but the soles are more likely to fail if you spend a lot of time sliding over rocks. I used them on a recent camping trip to take the kids to the pool and then back to the campsite; they worked great. They are way better than my old water shoes that broke on a rocky trail on a river trip; but I still wouldn't recommend them for this type of terrain. I highly recommend them to dads for use in typical family activities (camping, water parks, etc.).
