This is a good chef's knife for the price. The sharpness when unpacking is very good. The weight of the blade is comfortable and the balance between blade and tang is good. The shank is a cool design, more "sideways" than up. Looks very nice, really attractive knife. The grip is very comfortable, smooth and fits perfectly in my medium-sized man's hand. So far, after a few uses with vegetables and softer meats, it has retained its original sharpness without sharpening. It says it's made of German carbon steel but made in China, which is fine, like most knives these days. The problem with reviewing such knives is durability. It looks like it will last.
