Good quality and seem sturdy. I typically wear a small/medium in pants (depending on brand) and these in small fit comfortably around thighs/legs. Slightly big in the waist, but fit fine when tied. I'm also 5'4 and they were just the right length. HOWEVER, I am only giving 4 stars because they are very see-through in the back and are completely unlined. You will need to wear nude (not white) underwear with these as anything different than skin-colored would be noticeable. With nude underwear, it's fine - although I would not get wet wearing these regardless.
