Bought for use in the field on search and rescue missions and when we need to call rescue helicopters. The meter has many features beyond what you might need in these situations, but they're all worth it as you never know what you'll need next. It seems to pair quickly with my Note 7 and the Kestrel app which you can download for free. The app seems a bit anemic, but I'm not sure how useful it will actually be once you use the meter extensively. carve, like on a camera tripod. It's actually a nice addition for "long term" use, e.g. B. if you are at a checkpoint and need to send weather information regularly. You can set up a tripod, mount the meter on it, pair it with your phone, launch the app and record weather information if needed. Also, it gives you the true direction and speed of the wind and is not affected by your body when holding the meter. I'm glad I bought it!
