I was talking about buying a new portable gaming system. Both of my kids have PSPs, but I don't really like them. I like it when it's easier to manage (Hi, I'm 36). I don't want to bother with all the little buttons, especially on such a small device. The DS has a stylus/touch screen, which is what initially attracted me. I did some research to decide between iTouch and DSLite. Of course, the iTouch can do much more, but it is also much more expensive. If money wasn't an issue, I'd probably buy an iTouch. At least that's how it was between DSi and DSLite. I scoured the net trying to get everyone's opinion. I don't have DSLite yet, so I started fresh. Many people have complained that the 2 are too similar to bother updating, and that may be the case. But if you don't have them like me, get the DSi. I love surfing the internet (although it's limited), checking email on the go, taking photos and this has been a great challenge for me. You won't abandon your PC for DSi surfing, site navigation is much slower and more tedious compared to a PC, but it's still very good when you're faced with nothing. I also really like the selection of DS games. There aren't many downloadable DSiWare games yet, but you can use all DS games on the DSi. I am a "mature" player. I don't want to shoot and kill them. I don't want typical teenage games. I need a puzzle style, diner dash type, and for this type of game the DSi couldn't be better. It has a calendar function which is convenient to use when planning/scheduling. I carry it in my handbag everywhere. I've been using it for almost a month now and I'm very glad I chose it!
