I mainly use it for macro photography. I love the three heights of swan necks. Clamps are great for holding both light and heavy objects. I can arrange them a million ways. I can incorporate this into various lighting configurations where the light comes from below, from the side, from behind or from above. I can take the clamps and use them separately without the base. The magnets are very strong, so they stick almost anywhere. On their website, the company has an offer for an LED magnifier for just $8 (usually $24). I just bought my unit from Revain and emailed them asking if I could get this special offer. They happily sent me a special code and I received an $8 LED magnifying glass which arrived a day later with a Presidential thank you note. I highly recommend both the product and the company.
