As the title of my review suggests, this kit contains a lot of useful tools - it had all the tools I needed to sew a mask by hand (which took me 4 hours as a beginner at sewing) . , and my hands hurt badly, so I don't recommend). And it includes the tools I use regularly since I switched to a sewing machine. But despite the fact that the threads come in different colors, the quality of the threads is quite low. It seems that this is a cotton thread, but it sheds, fuzzes and breaks easily. It can still be used as a last resort, so I'm keeping the thread - just in case that I have to sew a hole in my pants or something - but I wouldn't do that. I don't even dream of placing this within 10 feet of my sewing machine for fear of lint clogging and blocking it. Okay, that's dramatic, and I mean, that's not why I bought it, so I'm not mad, but you know. If you're looking for a kit that really does it all, I would recommend looking for one that has only tools, no threads, and then buying higher quality threads separately. And one more thing: many tools have to hang out in the suitcase because either there is no clear slot for them, or I no longer remember which of the many elastic loops they came from. In terms of practicality, I would probably prefer something with small pockets as well. Also, Revane asked me to rate "thickness" and I really don't know what that means - is the kit ok in terms of size? I've seen more compact but I wasn't looking for the smallest kit I could find. I needed a set with a decent amount of tools and a whole range of thread colors. It's helped on those fronts, but my standards have gone up a bit since I got it and realized I probably should have cared a little more about quality as well. However, I was in a bind! what that means - is the kit ok in terms of size? I've seen more compact but I wasn't looking for the smallest kit I could find.
