I wanted a smaller antenna; so I don't have to take it off when I go to the car wash. As always, I read all the one star reviews. The first problem that most people complain about is that the threaded portion of the antenna is too loose. This can cause the antenna to weaken and fall off. Seriously? They have never been exposed to Loctite. A few drops of blue Loctite and mine is rock hard. The second issue they complained about was the reception. They should live on the moon, I installed mine with some dielectric grease and had no loss of reception. I still have all the channels I had before 5x5. Bottom line, it's worth the price. Blue Loctite on threads and your gold.
