Chadbourne is one of the most established law firms around, and we hired them to handle a large transaction. When it was time to work on the deal, there were a lot of issues around the execution. Some of the problems were as a result of Chadbourne not properly managing their internal resources, but sometimes issues were due to the transaction structure itself and the amount of overlap that existed with other firms. Sometimes there would be a month where our partner didn't meet with us for a good portion of it. They would explain that they were swamped, but it was pretty obvious that they didn't really care. In the end, we did find another firm to handle the rest of the deal. The professionalism of the staff, the quality of work and timely manner of getting things done. Nothing really. If I had one thing to suggest would be to have better training for employees - we were given very little information about what was expected of us once hired (and I'm sure there is an app for that). But overall good experience so far. Getting legal support for a startup with a big customer base.
