
Shure is as reliable as the sunrise. I've heard you can use the SM57 like a hammer to hammer in a nail and then place it on a mic stand with no loss of sound. although I won't try. They're workhorses and 100% reliable - I've had my own collection for three decades and have recently added a few more for extra sound boost - no difference in sound quality between old and new.
