Update! I should have written this update 6 months ago when it happened but I kept forgetting. So my cats didn't use the perch at first but as soon as I put a pillow in it my Russian Blue started using it all the time. One day I noticed a cushion on the floor and saw that the perch was broken. At first I thought that one of the plastic pipes had burst out of the joint, but on closer inspection I noticed that the joint (connector) had actually burst lengthwise! Drop to the floor about 7-8 feet from the window! I'm so glad my cat wasn't hurt. My cat doesn't even weigh that much! Pretty upset and disappointed because my cat loved this perch! Installation was easy and feels so solid. The third day, and the suction cups are still very strong. I'm still trying to get my cats to use it, but he's by a tall window in the basement.
