I didn't know bike adapters existed until I saw a YouTube video on how to transport full suspension bikes or bike frames that are difficult to load onto a hitch. I almost bought a new bike rack until I saw this device. I used it on a mountain bike trip today and it gave me peace of mind that my bike is safe. I also added some velcro to keep my bike from falling which was so close to buying this adapter (the bike frame is too big for the trunk). Overall I would recommend this bike adapter especially for carbon frames as bike adapters only make contact with the stem and seat post. Also, this one is affordable. Can't beat the price.
