My first statement is: THIS THING IS A TANK! I had another hitch carrier which measured about 60”x20”, it did a good job for about 4 years of mostly car camping and being loaded with heavy canvas tent, coolers full of food, propane gas tank, chairs, and other large camping essentials. This hitch mounted cargo carrier with ramp is so ideal! I ordered this to mount to my camper for easy loading and unloading of my generator. I'm very happy with this so far but I haven't used it on my camper yet, as I don't trust my hitch reciever to hold the weight. I'm fixing to take it in and have some gussets welded up for added strength before I mount it. I know it says it'll hold 500lbs but I'm worried about breaking my hitch so I'm just going to go the safe route and have it beefed up…

I used it for a 209 lbs generator. This unit is rated to hold up to 300lbs. Yet, first trip out . . . and it was so bouncy that all of the slats broke out of the bottom. Hit two cars on the freeway at 60 mph. Almost lost the generator. Bent the extended bar. The length of the extension bar is too long and it bounces going to down the road. The entire thing ended up in the dumpster at our first campground. Do not recommend.

I had the similar size maxxhaul but it did not fold, should have listened to the reviews, this is not near as heavy duty and seems flimsy all aroundSome well thought out ways to hold the ramp etc and good that it folds but the folding mechanism seems very flimsyThis one weighs in about 9lbs lighter than the other one and the more heavy duty construction of the maxxhaul is why, now wishing i had not the maxxhaulMay be ok as long as you are careful with it but i would treat it gently

Terrible. Not worth the money and its a piece of junk. It says supports 500lbs (no way). Placed a generator that weighs 150lbs on it and it bent the support beams across the tray on the first trip. Second trip put plywood across so the beams wouldn’t bend again. After second trip the long hitch bar is bent down at an angle now. Now it’s a safety hazard and no way can it be used again. Hitch Bar is long and acts like a spring board.

The hinged bar with the bends in it started to fail within 30 miles of highway driving. We were carrying generator that weights 155.8 lbs. This carrier is rated at 500 lbs. I would not reccomend this to anyone wanting to use it on the rear on an RV. I did a tremendous amount of research before buying this carrier. No were does it state not reccomend for use on an RV. Very dissapointed with this carrier could have been a disaster had my generator fallen off on the highway.

I bought this carrier to carry a 3000 watt generator on the back of my 29 ft fifth wheel. The problem I had was with the carrier bouncing up and down as I trailered the fifth wheel down the highway to the point that the 180 lb generator bounced loose of its hold down straps and crashed against the carrier. That put a major dent in the carrier's upper rail and also bent down and scratched the paint off of about half of the floor supports. It also damaged the generator's outside cases and leaked…

We live on a mountain and its too dangerous for my little ones to drive their ride-on car in the streets. I know, I know, uptown problems.I looked for weeks trying to find a basket to haul the ride-on car to the park. Nothing decent fit as most are made to look like a jail cell attached to the car. Directions could be clearer but if you have some mechanical skills it goes together fairly easy I was suprised everything lined up bolt hole wise I only had to use a little force with big screwdriver on one hinge to get it aligned properly. It held my electric wheelchair good was easy to operate sometimes chair needed a little bit of help to climb ramp . One drawback where I live in Colorado lots of dirt roads so chair got really dusty I have since bought folding ramps and load chair directly…

Great product ,easy to assemble, & light, does block my licsence plate & partially blocks taillights, will be adding trailers to bottom of it, was missing hardware from box , seller has no responded yet to issue.

We are extremely disappointed with the product. I wish I had saved the box to send it back. Now we are stuck with a overpriced product. Save your money. It does not hold the weight is states.

Ordered a new item and was sent a used item. Finger prints, scratches, and worn out threads on the bolts. Had to improvise to set it up to make up for the damage from it being used.

Very thin metal. And way over priced. Should have saved myself money and bout similar item at harbor freight for 200 less.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. All parts were included. Easy to follow instructions. Easier with 2 people as parts are heavier and bulky but not difficult to do. Perfect for electric scooter.
