Do not put this on the back of an RV it will fail.
The hinged bar with the bends in it started to fail within 30 miles of highway driving. We were carrying generator that weights 155.8 lbs. This carrier is rated at 500 lbs. I would not reccomend this to anyone wanting to use it on the rear on an RV. I did a tremendous amount of research before buying this carrier. No were does it state not reccomend for use on an RV. Very dissapointed with this carrier could have been a disaster had my generator fallen off on the highway.
