My wife has diabetes and neuropathy. Our vintage manual pepper grinder and store-bought pre-packaged pink Himalayan salt grinder are too much for them. I have long bought pre-ground peppers and plain white fine table salt to make her salting and peppering easier. However, we were both missing freshly ground peppers and our pink Himalayan salt, and I decided it was time to look for an alternative. But as I understand it, this is no better than rotary mills. I chose Revain and started surfing. Almost immediately I found these coffee grinders. They caught my attention because my wife's favorite color is blue and I like that color too. to press. These babies run on gravity and AAA batteries. I decided to try them. After a few days of waiting, they arrived in my mailbox. I picked them up on the way into town and popped into the store for peppercorns and pink Himalayan salt, which we haven't had in a long time. I brought everything home and opened the package. I unscrewed the top of the coffee grinders and found that each takes six AAA batteries. This hasn't been a problem since I recently stocked up, but just so you know and don't get caught off-guard, you need a total of twelve AAA batteries to power both grinders. I filled each of the bottom salt and pepper compartments, added all the batteries, and put everything back together. All it took was turning the mills upside down, they glowed a very nice blue color and they started grinding. Pick them up again and they will stop rubbing and the blue light will go out. That's all. There is no switch to flick to risk leaving the lights on and accidentally draining batteries into the ground for those of us with ADHD. I like them very much and my wife and I are glad that we can treat ourselves. Salt, which we love but haven't been able to eat for a while, and treat yourself to freshly ground pepper!
