I just rebuilt my alternator because an exhaust valve rocker arm broke. This resulted in the dual intake manifold being torn apart. It also did something to the carburetor. I installed my old one after a restore and the generator wouldn't start. Installed new one and started. The only thing I didn't like was the fuel line to the new carburetor. This is just a fitting, so a normal ONAN metal fuel filter cannot be installed. The kit included two plastic fuel filters, a hose and three clamps. The alternator now works great and the Cummings replacement was over $300, one was $50. I will buy another one as a replacement.
