Some are fleece and some are cotton. I don't know how they will keep her warm. They look thicker in photos. I gave them one star because the quality seems nice and soft apart from my concern to keep them warm that's why I bought them.

This balaclava is made of fleece. I bought it for my kids to wear on a ski trip. It sits well on the head and appears to be of good thickness. However, we washed it before the trip (to reduce the smell) and after that my son noticed a hole on his head. As the hole appeared after we washed them once (and didn't use them much) I'm not sure they will last long.

They are very warm and the material is thick. The only thing I didn't like was that they run small, I ordered a larger size for my 3 year old and although it fits she will definitely outgrow it by next year.
