Best hauls cargo into spares

My work trucks are always loaded with equipment or materials, a truck with a load moves differently and you get used to it. It's amazing how important these air springs are and I wish I had had them years ago. They're not that difficult to install, but they do require you to crawl under the trucks and grab onto things. To drill through the frame you need to remove the wheels. If you want to "jack up" your truck to ride with them, don't. They are designed for trucks with loads. It's a forklift as the name suggests, empty trucks won't benefit from it. One of my trucks has a service platform that makes it sit low, they raise the rear to normal ride height. I even tried it with a 2000psi load on the rear and set the springs at 65psi to keep it looking straight, worked great. The truck handles a full load very well. Even with a service platform, I need to keep them pressurized at 15psi, but 5psi is fine on a standard empty pickup. After unloading the truck, the pressure must be reduced, otherwise it will spring more. The ride is quieter and smoother when the truck is off the slipsheet, and these air springs help keep it off you so it sits like an empty truck. Best update of the year.
