Review on APEVIA AF212S-BK 120mm Silent Black Case Fan (2-pk) - 4pin Molex & 3pin Motherboard Compatible by Victor Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

$5 fans work the same as $5 fans (ooh!)

These fans are certainly very economical. Two fans for $10 is a steal! I placed these two on the front of my computer case and plugged them into a Molex power connector so they run at full speed 100% of the time. They move a lot of air, but since I placed them both on the front of the case, that's to be expected. They are definitely not "quiet". It's a bit louder than the hum to be honest. If you plugged them into a 3 pin connector or had speed control on them they might be a bit better in terms of noise. The screws are tight and I've seen a few other complaints about them being the wrong size. I think they are ok. The kind of cheap screws that have started to loosen a little because they're tight, but they're good enough. Overall, they perform exactly as you would expect for their price. This is a deal on price, not so much on performance/noise. For the record, I bought two Noctua fans for the same PC case and am using them as fans on the back and top of the case. They're actually silent fans. However, they cost me $13 each. If you want quiet fans I would look into Noctua (or other brands) and pay the extra money. If you want easy airflow and don't mind noise, that's great.
