I used this to restore my 1200cc 4 cylinder sport bike. I bought 2 of these since #1 and #4 are on the compression stroke at the same time, as well as #2 and #3. Unlike car engines, I rebuilt where you put the pistons in the block and tighten the connecting rods from the bottom , the ends of the connecting rods are not accessible from below, so you must first mount and readjust the connecting rods/pistons on the crank. cylinder block above. It was a great pain. I set them to the correct diameter and I had to cut off the excess length because the gaps are so small that the excess length scratched the motor case, but that's not the tool's fault. I've read people saying it scratches their pistons so I made sure to oil both the piston and the tool and didn't see any scratches. The tool worked fine. I needed one that would fall apart after the piston was in the block and it worked.
