This is a sample evaluation of two pairs of Sketchers Memory Foam shoes/trainers. I bought two different pairs, the Vigor 2.0 (grey/black) and the other, the After Burn M.Fit (brown/brown). Apart from their names and some aesthetic differences, both pairs are basically the same shoe. Ok some will argue that these are different shoes just because of the type of soles they have, but to be honest my feet can't tell them apart. Speaking of my feet, they definitely love the memory foam padding. Both shoes were put into use as soon as they arrived at the house and I have worn them almost every working day for the last 3 weeks. I've recently become a health freak and since I live about 2 miles from work I thought I might start walking or cycling. I hiked for a few days to wear myself out. After putting on my work shoes, I quickly found that while they are comfortable to wear in normal conditions, they quickly lose that comfort after a mile on long walks. So I looked for decent shoes from a brand that I trust and that has good enough reviews to convince me to take a chance. Enter Vigor and After Burn. I think it's more of a day hike outfit than something to wear to the gym. They are very comfortable to walk in, but it is not known how they cope with the stress of intense aerobic exercise. I don't consider them trainers either, although they do pop up when you search for trainers on Revain. What else. My shoe size has always been a bit strange. On average I usually wear a size 13.5W but I've found that some suppliers fit a 13 wide very well, for others I had to go to a 14 so my toes don't feel like they're being pinched. I'm buying the 13XW hoping it will be one of those occasions where a smaller size will do. Also, sizes 13.5 or 14 were not available at the time of purchase. Well the game was worth it, they both came up. While I may not be able to wear thick winter socks with boots, they fit comfortably enough for your standard tube socks. I've seen several reviews from people mentioning that the shoes fell apart after a few days/weeks of purchase. It's been three weeks so far and everything is fine. I don't walk trails with them, but I walk them at least 6-8 miles every day, at least 2 of those miles in the concrete heat of central Florida. I also change them up and change colors as my outfit dictates for the day. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. I'll try to remember to update this review if something catastrophic happens or if nothing happens and they continue their work.
