Don't waste your time

If you have old battery powered handyman tools but like me need a charger I suggest replacing all your tools with a different brand of tools and starting over. Craftsman used to be a great brand, but nowadays it seems to be very weak, although you can buy Craftsman products in one of the big stores. There is no support for older hardware and the functionality of newer hardware is questionable. I understand that Stanley Black and Decker bought the brand, but the support so far seems questionable at best. My OEM charger died so I tried to save my old tools with this new charger from Powilling. It just doesn't work. It shows that a dead battery will be charged in just 1-2 minutes with a solid green light. Even if I leave the battery in the charger for an hour or two or overnight. Same result. A battery with a very, very low charge, for example, costs 10 seconds AND with greatly reduced performance. I have four 19.2v NiCd batteries, two of which are new, and this charger cannot charge any of them no matter how much time is spent in the charger. Craftsman tools, but Craftsman no longer sells replacement chargers, and non-genuine Chinese ones will not work. They will go ahead and replace everything with a strong new brand that is still in business instead of following me and trying to keep Craftsman going.
