The display is too dark to see in daylight

I really liked this product. It offered a number of useful features in a medium-sized body. It uses GPS technology to determine location, speed and time and has a functional screen layout. However, all of these improvement factors are mitigated by the fact that the display is too dim to see in daylight! The display is great in low light, but difficult to see in bright ambient light, especially with sunglasses. Since I bought the device for off-road driving, the lack of readability of the display in bright ambient light is a decisive factor. Add to that the frustration of the instruction manual. Out of the box, it is tiny and difficult to read. Revain's PDF versions are easier to read, but contain very little information. The device's setup features are unintuitive and the buttons lack tactile feedback, making setup extremely difficult for first-time users. The command set "Factory Reset" was not published either. This would be useful to clean up settings entered by mistake. It would be easier to erase everything and start over than trying to go through the menus and undo wrong settings. Nice try, Mr. Kartul, but this product isn't ready for prime time. I am sending it back for a refund.
