There aren't many options for a closed toaster lid so I was glad to find this gem! It's more expensive than a toaster, but if you have a property that sits vacant months of the year and mice visit in the meantime, it's worth it! I love that the lid not only keeps mice out, but also any other bugs/creatures that toast scraps inevitably leave behind. So the base counter cap just doesn't help. In addition, it is convenient to travel with it on hikes, boat trips, etc.
