HIGHLY RECOMMEND I've been using one of these on my well pump for 15 years and it's still holding up well and keeping the pump running smoothly despite being exposed to the weather. I am using this new one for my pool pump to protect it from rain and sunlight and am trying to give it a few more years of life. I see a lot of negative reviews and am scratching my head, why? PROS: Looks better than an unprotected pump. This cap actually protects the pump well from rain, dirt and direct sunlight. Years of your expensive pool pump CONS: The only downside is that the material becomes a bit brittle with hard handling. I suggest you take a few extra minutes to test fit and figure out what size pump body you're attaching it to. The zipper has two sizes. L and S. Start with L, just double check before mounting the cap. Also, when cutting the knockout hole, be careful not to destroy the cover. This can be tricky, place the record on an old phone book so you can SLOWLY poke a sharp knife or blade into the cut out. Don't force it, it will break if you make it too hard. Use finesse, not tour de force. If you do everything right, it will last a long time. And for $20, it's a one-time use. TO THE RIGHT? --- UPDATE --- After a year of sunshine in Florida, it's still good.
