This is quite expensive (in my opinion) but worth it if you have Win/Mac laptops at home and want to quickly connect two monitors with one cable. But most importantly, it works with MacBook Air M1! For my windows laptop it was basically plug n play after I downloaded the driver. For Mac: After updating the driver, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording > DisplayLink Manager to distribute it to your monitors. You must leave this option enabled and the DisplayLink software will work from behind to extend your monitor.
