It's decent: Docks

Doesn't charge via USB C, maybe I should have looked at the descriptions but I jumped between several docks before buying this one. It looks good and the setup is quite easy. It works on my two laptops, one Intel and one AMD, but there is a weird stuttering when moving windows etc. Maybe later I'll replace it with a docking station that also charges.

Power is not passed through the Thunderbolt connection

Advertising leads you to believe that power and video are transmitted through the Thunderbolt connection to your Macbook/Laptop. That can only be true. Word of Wisdom if you want this product. It should also be noted that the Displayport connection flickers when not connected to its "5K" video port. Overall its value for money and only my reluctance to send it back keeps me from going back.

Plug and play Notebook accessory

Plug and play in 10 seconds - there was literally no setup. Like many people, I have been working from home since early 2020. I have a work laptop, two monitors and a personal laptop that I use for homework. I needed the ability to connect both laptops to monitors as needed. This docking station made that possible for me. I just swap the USB-C cable from one laptop to another when needed and it works great. If you need a dual DP docking station, I highly recommend it.

Move the audio out and mic jacks to the back and I'd give it 5 stars.

Overall I like the docking station. And I've used many docks from multiple vendors. But the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the audio out and mic jacks on the front of the unit. Cable routing would be much easier if the manufacturer left all connections on the back. As a result, the docking station takes up more space on the desk. I can go back and find a model that has all connections on the back.

Works with MacBook Air M1

This is quite expensive (in my opinion) but worth it if you have Win/Mac laptops at home and want to quickly connect two monitors with one cable. But most importantly, it works with MacBook Air M1! For my windows laptop it was basically plug n play after I downloaded the driver. For Mac: After updating the driver, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording > DisplayLink Manager to distribute it to your monitors. Works for Macbook Pro but has some issues.

I bought this to act as a hub between my Macbook Pro and my two monitors with HDMI output after hitting it with a smaller splitter. The construction is excellent. Pretty solid. However, I didn't look closely when I bought it, and while it works with a Mac, you'll need to install the DirectLink drivers. Then, once you're up and running, the refresh rate is terrible due to the USB-C output and reliance on DirectLink. I don't blame WAVLINK as they state this clearly on the packaging. However, if…

I bought this docking station not only to increase the number of displays on my laptop but also to increase the total number of ports on my laptop overall.
